I have always led an active lifestyle, and growing up I was a competitive swimmer and triathlete.
This lifestyle led me to the field of naturopathic medicine, where I have a special interest in pain management and sports medicine-based therapies.
Witnessing individuals return to the sports or activities they love and getting the most out of their bodies makes for very enjoyable work!
Professional skills
I've undergone extensive further training in injection therapies, including musculoskeletal diagnostic ultrasound imaging, which I use to ensure the safe and accurate delivery of in-office procedures.
Treatments I offer to my clients include platelet-rich plasma (PRP), hyaluronic acid (viscosupplementation), trigger point injections, prolotherapy, and cortisone injections. Other areas of focus include nutrition and lifestyle management, digestive health, stress and energy support, and allergies.
Core values
My practice is all about empowering others to take charge of their health.
I strive to help individuals understand their own health at a deeper level to be able to make informed decisions regarding their health care.
Biggest challenges
Finding the balance between symptom management and resolving underlying issues can be challenging. Each individual healthcare plan involves a discussion of many facets of health to help address issues from multiple angles.
Hobbies and interests
In my spare time I enjoy going on adventures! I love hiking, camping, snowboarding, and generally exploring all that Vancouver Island and BC has to offer.
Educational background
I completed my Bachelors of Science in Biomedical Physiology at Simon Fraser University. I then attended the Boucher Institute of Naturopathic Medicine in New Westminster to complete my four-year naturopathic medical program and clinical training.
I currently hold memberships with and is in good standing with the College of Naturopathic Physicians of BC, the BC Naturopathic Association, and the Canadian Association of Naturopathic Doctors.
