Before I pursued my degree, I already had quite an interest in human anatomy and physiology.

I wasn’t sure exactly where I wanted to go with it at first, and I took a few courses to get a better idea of what I liked/disliked.

When I landed on Kinesiology I thought it would be a great field to work, combining my love of exercise sciences and having a career with the sole purpose of helping others.

I am relatively new to the field and have experience to gain, but I am very much looking forward to it!

Describe yourself

I am a passionate learner, and I am keen to gain more experience and learn from my clients as I assist them in their recovery process.

I also bring a positive attitude to the workplace, and I strive to be compassionate and understanding to every client I work with.

One of the most significant challenges I've faced was shifting from academic life to the hands-on clinic environment. This experience has helped me adapt, learn, and apply my academic knowledge in real-world scenarios, boosting my skills and confidence in the field.

Core values

As a health care professional my core values include compassion, empathy, and kindness.

I strongly believe that being compassionate and empathetic to my clients makes a world of a difference with their recovery and rehab process.

Hobbies and interests

I enjoy weight training at the local gym, hiking, and paddleboarding. I try and do something physically active every day regardless of what the workday is like!

Why kinesiology?

I love to see the physical improvements my clients make during their recovery process. It warms my heart to see them so happy and fulfilled that they are getting stronger and feeling better!

Educational background

I completed my Kinesiology degree at Camosun College, and I am currently working on obtaining my CSEP-CEP certification (Canadian Society for Exercise Physiology Clinical Exercise Physiologist).
