Portrait of Nicole Boudreault, Admin Assistant + Receptionist at Active Solutions Health + Sport

I am always here to assist and ensure a positive experience for patients and colleagues alike. Approachability and excellent service are my top priorities!

Working in a healthcare related role within my community was my main motivator for pursuing a role with Active Solutions Health + Sport.

I got started in an administrative role many moons ago. Originally working within the fitness industry, I shifted to the healthcare field within Fraser Health for 15 years.

My main focus is to provide excellent customer service to our patients, along with developing a congenial rapport among clients and staff alike. Making people feel seen, heard, and assisted is very rewarding.

One of my favourite aspects about my work is the constant variety. Although there is structure with the day-to-day clinic setting and functionality, the people (and the circumstances surrounding those people) are dynamic, and it makes daily events interesting.

Unique skills

Greeting customers with a smile, attentiveness, and a cheerful disposition are important qualities (and even skills!) when dealing with the general public and representing our clinic.

Core values

My core values are to provide a strong worth ethic, let my good nature shine, communicate well, have a conscientious attitude, be a team player, and be respectful – to the best of my ability.

I think that being conscientious of all of these elements assist in doing my job and supports my team.

Biggest challenges

Perhaps one of the challenges I’ve faced working in this role has been to deal with – and embrace – the vast array of personalities and behaviour. I work to take everything in stride and as professionally as possible.

Hobbies and interests

To help maintain a healthy work-life balance I like to stay active (gym workouts, kayaking, enjoying the beauty in nature, lots of dog walks, snuggle and play time with my pets), be creative (painting/art projects), and spend time with family and friends.

Background

I completed some post-secondary education which led me to work within the procurement department at Fraser Health Authority for many years. My life has taken many turns through the years which has led to living in other provinces for short times which were embraced experiences.

This allowed me to work (administratively) for a couple of private firms along the way, which I feel only added to my work and life experience in a positive way.
