Why Chiropractic

After suffering from multiple sports related injuries, I understand first-hand the debilitating effects pain and immobility can have on a person. Every day I strive to help patients work towards becoming pain free and getting their lives back.

Hobbies and Interests

My wife and I took an extended break from work to travel the world prior to moving to Nanaimo. We visited multiple countries in Africa, Europe, Central Asia, and South East Asia. I am always excited to chat with others about their travels or home countries and learn more about other cultures.

In my spare time I enjoy being active by playing hockey, hiking, golfing, or scuba diving.

Professional Highlights

My time spent with St. Michael’s Hospital Academic Family Health Team (AFHT) during my clinical externship in downtown Toronto is a memorable highlight of my early chiropractic career. I worked extensively with an underprivileged inner-city population with significant barriers to health care. I corresponded with family physicians, neurologists, psychologists, nutritionists, and nurse practitioners in managing complex chronic pain conditions

Outside of the clinic I’ve also been fortunate to work as part of the medical staff at the OHF Championship, the Toronto Super-Series Hockey Championship, for Team Canada Rugby, and at the Lacrosse World Championships in New York as a liaison to Team Australia.

I was the director of strength and conditioning for the Soccer and Hockey Associations of Newfoundland. In this role I acted as a performance strategist to maximize potential of young athletes using my understanding of biomechanics, training science, and nutrition.
